A Large Twin-Handled Flambé Glazed Vase.
Qing Dynasty, 18th Century

The heavily potted porcelain vase of zun form seated on a short squat foot with a globular body rising to a dramatic flared mouth. The vase flanked either side by a pair of single horned mythical beast handles resembling a tianlu with elongated tongues forming the handles of the vase.

The vase covered in a deep purplish-red glaze with striking blue flares throughout.
