A Small Pink Tourmaline Lotus Ink Palette
Qing Dynasty, 18th Century

Formed of intertwined lotus leaves, the front with an inverted curved rim. To the back a lotus blossom and at the side a fish, carp. The carp and lotus form a rebus symbolising may you have an abundance of wealth and honour.

The stone highly polished of slight translucency and even pink tone.

​
